Infrastructure

R S InfoCon’s Offsite Development/Support center is located inside the Center for Advanced Technology and Innovation (CATI) in Sturtevant.

Network Connection

RSI maintains its own LAN on T1 connection with a bandwidth of 1.4 Mbps per connection. This allows us to dial into our client’s servers via VPN or PC Anywhere easily.

Confidentiality

Every PC/Laptop used for Offsite Development/Support work is used exclusively for the designated purpose and is only used by the authorized personnel of R S InfoCon, Inc. This ensures data protection, security from third party intrusions and confidentiality.

Is Offsite Support & Development model for your company?

Offsite model can be used for technical enhancements and support. If your firm has a need for software development, it can be done remotely at a very low cost as compared to the onsite model. If cost saving is not an issue, then there is nothing better than having a consultant physically come into your location. Norton Antivirus

R S InfoCon has a group license for professional version of Symantec Norton Systemworks 2003. It includes Symantec Antivirus software, which is ranked number 1 in the market. Every PC/Laptop owned or used by R S InfoCon at its Offsite facility has Professional version of Symantec Norton Systemworks.

R S InfoCon uses following features of Symantec Antivirus:

Every email attachment is scanned for viruses (both, Inbound and Outbound)

Daily ESU (electronic software update, if any) of Symantec Antivirus files for the latest version.

Files transferred over network are scanned prior to opening/executing.

MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are integrated with Antivirus, the application scans every file before opening.

Schedule weekly scan of Laptops/PCs for Viruses/Trojan horses.

Network Security

We utilize the Cisco PIX 525 Security Appliance (Firewall) that delivers a multilayered defense for large enterprise networks through rich, integrated security services including inspection fire walling, protocol and application inspection, virtual private networking (VPN) in-line intrusion protection and voice security in a single device.
